This a repeated refrain of mine, but it's going to be awhile before we're all used to what The CW now has to offer during the television year. The network's 2024-2025 season will see Superman and Lois take its last bow on Thursdays of all nights.

The traditional superhero slot (Tuesdays), has been taken over by WWE NXT. For wrestling fans it's sure to be an exciting time. If you're not in the know, CW was once the home of Smackdown! from 2006-2008. This isn't exactly a return to form for the network per se but sports entertainment being a part of their strategy could prove to be a winner.

The CW has been finding its way in its Nexstar era and its Fall TV rollout is certainly making that clear, but the network might surprise us. Its new offerings seem promising. Mondays will lead out with two new game shows--Trivial Pursuit and Scrabble. Hosted by LeVar Burton and Raven-Symoné, these unscripted series will give viewers a chance to flex their wordsmith abilities and their knowledge for a two hour block of fun.

Also new to the roster are Joan and The Librarians: The Next Chapter. The programs have been highly anticipated since they were announced back in 2023. The Sophie Turner-led, '80s set, crime drama follows Joan Hannington, a notorious jewel thief who'd made a new life for herself and her daughter after her violent criminal husband went on the run.

The Librarians spin-off is the latest entry in the beloved franchise that will see a Librarian shoot forward in time to find that his home is now a museum, he can't get back to his own time, and he's unfortunately released magic across the continent. Keep reading for the full schedule!

The midseason will see the premiere of two new scripted dramas--Good Cop/Bad Cop and Sherlock & Daughter. The first is another attempt at landing a procedural, it'll be led by Leighton Meester and Luke Cook, who will play odd couple siblings that are detectives working for the Pacific Northwest police force. And, yes, the latter is a Sherlock Holmes reimagining that sees a young American woman named Amelia (Blu Hunt) paired with the legendary detective, played by David Thewlis, as they work to solve her mother's murder, a global conspiracy, and find out whether or not she really is his daughter.

Notably absent from the schedule are All American, All American: Homecoming, and Walker. This is because The CW has yet to make a renewal or cancellation decision on the pre-Nexstar series. If they do return, it likely won't be until at least the midseason. The same can be said for Wild Cards.
