The CW's primed to premiere a new unscripted series this week now that Crime Nation has come to an end. It's yet another crime oriented program, this time geared toward ride alongs with law enforcement. Police 24/7 is the latest venture for the network into programming that gives viewers a look at case work and the day-to-day happenings of a police officer's job.

The scripted fare on CW remains pretty light but we can expect new episodes of All American, Walker, and Sight Unseen. Music fans will delighted to know that there's an ABBA special airing on Saturday. The documentary centers on the band's rise to fame which was a struggle at first as they worked to shake off the idea that they were one hit wonders on the heels of their triumph at Eurovision. All American: "Connection" - When the Vortex are left without internet while up at the cabin, all their focus turns to helping Spencer with his case studies on relationships. The task proves to be enlightening as Jordan learns something about Layla he didn't know before and Spelivia are forced to deal with their issues. Meanwhile, Laura has to tell Coop difficult news and it all has to do with Patience's case against Miko.

Tuesday, May 7

Police 24/7: The series makes its debut, introducing CW's audience to an unscripted program that'll take them on a ride along with law enforcement. The show is being touted as delivering "raw, unfiltered accss into the world of sheriffs and police departments across the United States as they serve and protect at all costs." While viewers will see case work being done on incidents like drug busts, the series will also cover routine traffic stops, some of which will have unexpected turns.

Wednesday, May 8

  • Walker: "We All Fall Down" - Matt Barr guest stars in an episode that will see Cordell, Trey, and Cassie preparing themselves for whatever Cpt. James has for them at headquarters. Meanwhile, August and Stella will be putting some of the pieces of what's going on together. As for Cordell, besides the dealings at HQ, he'll be making plans for his future. These plans, however, will be questioned by his brother, Liam, who's not sure of his motives.
  • Sight Unseen: "Lucas" - For family, Tess will do anything even hide Lucas' connection to the murder of a famous painter. She's not trying to help him get away with it but rather determine if he has any connection to the crime at all before the Homicide Division can make the investigative leap she has and implicate him in the murder. Tess asks Sunny for help monitoring Lucas while she investigates. Sunny will also be dealing with her own plot, one that'll see Kye entering her home to help her with DIY but he'll be happening upon a piece of her hidden past. The discovery breaks the trust between them.

  • Patti Stranger: The Matchmaker: "Commitment Issues" - Patti's tasked with helping a divorcee quit his tendency to date women he feels needs saving. He should be dating for connection not finding a new project. In a separate love case, she'll be showing one young women that there are men in LA that want commitment.
  • Lovers and Liars: "You Can Look, but You Can't DM" - Shocking info is found when the men get help from Nikki Glaser (and her WiFi) to determine who amongst the women are liars and not lovers. Having seen what they have, the guys confront the ladies and, for some of them, the game could be over!

100 Days to Indy: "The Double Edged Sword" - Scott McLaughlin may be a rising star in INDYCAR, but he hasn't won the Indy 500. He's determined to pull out a win over last year's victor Josef Newgarden who's also his teammate. Resentment begins to brew as the competition heats up. Meanwhile, Felix Rosenqvist is looking to notch his first win at Long Beach now that he's the leader of Meyer Shank Racing.

ABBA: Against All Odds: Told through archive footage and the band's hits, this feature documentary charts ABBA's struggle to be seen as more than a one hit wonder after their success at Eurovision. They found their sound while in the midst of facing protests in Sweden and radio bans in the UK. Before long they were conquering the charts but with fame came pressure and the threat of ruin to their relationships.
