Tony and Ziva's daughter Tali has been cast! Here's who else will be in the NCIS spin-off
The highly anticipated Tony and Ziva spin-off has added more cast members, including the little girl who will play their daughter, Tali! It’s hard to believe Tali is almost a teenager based on the timeline of the original NCIS series.
It was recently announced who else would be joining Cote de Pablo and Michael Weatherly’s NCIS spin-off, which is titled NCIS: Tony and Ziva. Now in production in Budapest, the series already has a great looking cast joining the Paramount+ series, which has fans excited! Besides their daughter Tali, who else will be joining the series?
Tali will be portrayed by Isla Gie, who will appear in the third season of Apple+’s Foundation when it airs next year. The character description for Tali portrays her as being “precocious” and ready to prove to everyone, mainly the adults, that she doesn’t need to be treated like a child. Although considering she is 12 years old, it is likely natural for the adults to want to protect her from what they do in their jobs.
There are going to be plenty of other new series regulars joining the David-DiNozzo family as well. Actress Lara Rossi will portray Sophie, who is a caretaker for Tali. Sophie is very maternal but also hyper-vigilant. Given she served in the Special Air Service, she definitely isn't someone to cross. Rossi is a British actress known for The Watch, Robin Hood, and Iron Sky: The Coming Race.
Amita Suman from Shadow and Bone will portray Claudette, who works at Tony’s private security company as the Chief Technical Officer. Without her, the place would be a mess. Highly skilled in her field, Claudette can solve any problem and crack any code.
Nassima Benchicou from Emily in Paris has been cast as Martine, who used to work for French intelligence and is one who is capable of playing both sides in a situation for her own interests. She's described as "elegant and cunning."
Julian Ovenden from Bridgerton has been cast as Jonah, who originally worked for the NSA and now has the role of Interpol’s Secretary General. Jonah is decisive and determined. He's aware the world is broken, but he also knows he's the one who can fix it. That's a lot of confidence that he backs up with charm.
Maximilian Osinski, who starred in Ted Lasso, portrays Boris, a computer hacker who is a Russian ex-pat. His brilliance has afforded him the ability to "live outside the law and polite society" which gives him certain freedoms and anonymity that others don't have. It also makes Boris quite the elusive man.
James D’Arcy from Agent Carter will play Henry, who works at Interpol and is completely focused on his career. Henry earned his high rank by dedicating his life to bringing international criminals to justice. It's meant that he doesn't have a wife or a family to call his own but his marriage to his job is what sustains him.
Terence Maynard will play Dr. Lang, who is a therapist for those who have dealt with severe trauma. Described as "gentle and probing," Dr. Lang seeks to help his patients find the comfort they need and reclaim their agency.
So far what we know about the series is that it will follow Tony and Ziva after the security company is attacked. The family goes on the run together as they attempt to figure out who is behind the attack and learn how to trust one another. It does sound like even though the couple reunited, there are still issues they need to work out for their relationship to thrive.
We’re excited to get to see Tony and Ziva again, as well as their relationship with their daughter, Tali. With the cast put together, it’s sure to be a thrilling beginning to a new iteration of their story.
