Trevor St. John's time playing the scheming Tucker McCall is drawing to a close on The Young and the Restless. Deadline reports the star took to X to confirm his exit from the soap. He didn't go into detail about his departure beyond commenting that Tuckers come and go from Genoa City and it's now his time to leave.

St. John began his run as the transient character just two years ago in 2022 and has masterfully portrayed the business-savvy and ruthless man since his first scene. How he'll be written out, unless the character is simply being recast, is anyone's guess. In Tuesday, June 18's episode, he'd snapped back from the supposed heart attack he'd been having.

While it's possible that his "health condition" could become a real emergency down the road, Tucker may also leave due to power plays that don't work out in his favor when it comes to business. Either way, hopefully, St. John's closing plot on The Young and the Restless is as exciting as his exploits on the soap have been since the beginning.

Most recently he'd fallen in love with Ashley Abbott, triggering more dysfunction between her and her family. Was blindsided during their honeymoon when Ashely walked back the plans they had together. Carried on with Audra whilst dealing with the fallout of Paris and caught unexpected feelings for her. And then became an integral part in the storyline revolving around Ashley's dissociative identity disorder plot which was risky because one of her alters was ready to kill him.

It's been fun watching St. John's turn as Tucker McCall and he will be missed. He brought an elegance to the role, making it his own. And he plays villainous so well as he sets the board and watches his plans unfold, course correcting or lashing out when needed.

An airdate for his final episode has yet to be announced but the soap opera does film week's ahead. If St. John took to X around the time he filmed his last scenes, we could see Tucker make his exit sometime in July if the actor didn't bid the show goodbye because his last few episodes are set to air in the coming days.

We'll keep you posted as more news comes in, including whether the role of Tucker McCall is being recast. But, in the meantime, we do have the aftermath of the Glissade board vote to look forward to since Audra out maneuvered him. Stay tuned to Hidden Remote.
