Jake Gyllenhaal is back and kicking things up a notch when it comes to action. Road House premieres on Thursday, March 21. Will you be watching? Note to parents: You may want to wait until the kids to go to sleep to watch Road House. Let's just say, violence is not the only reason why the movie is rated R.

Road House is a reimagining of the 1989 movie of the same name. The story follows former UFC fighter Dalton (Gyllenhaal) who starts his new job as a bouncer at a roadhouse in Florida Keys. It doesn't take long for Dalton to discover that his hope at a peaceful life and fresh start is easier said than done. Trouble seems to always follow Dalton, will he always be able to run from it?

In addition to Jake Gyllenhaal, Road House also stars Daniela Melchior, Conor McGregor, J.D. Pardo, Arturo Castro, Luke Gage, and Billy Magnussen. Fans of the original can rest assured the movie is in good hands as Joel Silver, who produced the original, also worked as a producer in this 2024 version.

Are you ready to enjoy an updated cult classic from the 80s, movie fans? We thought so! And the best part of all is that you don't even need to leave the comfort of your own couch to watch Road House. That's right the movie is not going to theaters. Instead, Road House will be available to stream on Prime Video on Thursday, March 21. Now, this may be a movie that targets both fans of the original and a new generation, but we're not talking about kiddos here. So, what age is appropriate?

The latter, in my opinion, is what most parents look for when trying to figure out what age is appropriate.

Another reliable source is Common Sense Media, but the site has yet to update their feedback on the movie. As soon as we catch any updates there, we'll share them here with you.
