Reality TV shows love a good villain and The Bachelorette is no different. For season 21, Sam M. occupied that role as episode after episode his interactions with the men got worse as did his ability to connect with Jenn on a deeper level than their physical chemistry. It was because of this that Sam was in the hot seat for much of the Men Tell All episode.

From his fellow former suitors weighing in on his journey during the season to host Jesse Palmer asking him about some of the tougher parts of his time vying for Jenn's heart, Sam spent much of his appearance explaining his behavior and expressing that he thinks everything he went through was a learning experience. His responses weren't really met with acceptance as the impression he set has made some of the men question his character.

They were very frank about his treatment of Jenn with Hakeem being direct about how he would have felt if someone told his sister that he loves her just to keep her in the relationship. Sam was also called out for referring to Jenn as "dull." He tried to say that he was talking about her eyes and how she didn't have that light in them he was used to when she looked at him which is how he knew they were about to have a serious talk about their relationship. The men, however, weren't buying it and said he was being disrespectful and that he should have never insulted her like that.

The call outs didn't stop with the men. Jenn also had some choice words for Sam. Here's a look at what she had to say to her ex-suitor (starting at 4:40):

While Sam's fellow contestants had their own dust-ups with him, Jenn was the only one that had her heart on the line so her words came from the place of being someone who had hoped to have a future with him. It's not even just that she's upset about how he acted with her, it's also what she witnessed when watching the cut of his time on the show.

Jenn didn't care for how Sam spoke to and behaved with her suitors and went on to say that she wasn't a fan of how he blamed the edit, the producers, and the show for how he came off on television. She tells Sam that the man she saw in the video package wasn't a departure from how he was in front of her.

She said she didn't like that he didn't own what he'd done and instead allowed his family to defend him online when how he acted in the season was true to form and wasn't manufactured or manipulated. Jenn was very intentional and pointed while speaking to Sam, she didn't mince words. But ultimately she wants him to grow from this experience and her delivery looked to be a dose of "tough love." Undoubtedly, this moment during the Men Tell All is one that had the audience, in the studio and at home, paying attention.
