What is Ark: The Animated Series about? (Everything to know about the new show)
Ark: The Animated Series is now available to stream on Paramount +. The show is based on the 2015 video game ARK: Survival Evolved, where a paleontologist named Helena Walker arrives at an isolated island thriving with prehistoric creatures. She must learn to survive while trying to unearth the island's purpose. Others join Helena on her incredible time-traveling journey as they enter a world no human has experienced.
According to Deadline, Ark: The Animated Series was supposed to be launched in 2022 and then in 2023, when it released a second teaser trailer. No news has been announced until now when Paramount acquired the distribution rights to the series. Deadline called it a "surprise drop" as a result.
Six episodes have already been dropped in the US and Canada, with international distribution on April 19th. The remaining seven episodes of Ark will come at a later date on the streamer.
In the trailer, colorful dinosaurs, carnivores, and herbivores are the primary focus while the humans, including Helena, attempt to take control of the gigantic lizards. The animation has an anime element and is charged with action, appropriate for a sci-fi production.
