Survivor premiered on the CBS network on May 31, 2000, quickly becoming a favorite among fans of reality competition series. Today, Survivor has 45 seasons under its belt, with season 46 coming out on Wednesday, Feb. 28, 2024.

For those keeping count, Survivor on CBS is one of the longest-running reality shows on TV. Hosted from the start by Jeff Probst, the competition series follows a large group of contestants as they participate in challenges that test their physical and mental abilities. The challenges include running, swimming, working as a team and independently, and endurance. At the end of a task (usually weekly), one person is voted out by the other contestants. But if you win a challenge or task, you can earn immunity from elimination or a reward that will help you with the next challenge. The remaining "Sole Survivor" takes home $1 million.

Since each season features a new locations and group of contestants, you can jump in at any time. So if you're looking to watch a new reality series, you can start with Survivor season 46 on Feb. 28. The world of entertainment has been taken over by streaming platforms. This isn't so bad, it means there are unlimited possibilities of what we can watch. On the other hand, it can be confusing (and time consuming) searching for what we are looking for. In the case of Survivor, though, there's no need to shuffle through more than one streamer as all 45 seasons are available on Paramount+ free as part of your subscription.

That's right, seasons 1-45 are on Paramount+. As for new episodes, catch them on Wednesday nights starting on Feb. 28. The episodes will air on the CBS network at 8 p.m. ET and run for two hours, wrapping up at 10 p.m. ET. If you have cut ties with cable, watch Survivor episodes via the streamer you replaced cable with, such as FuboTV of Hulu + Live TV.

If the problem is that you can't tune in right at that time, no worries! Fans can still watch by streaming the new episodes the following day on Paramount+. When and where will you be watching?

Not including the upcoming season 46, there are 661 episodes so far of Survivor. Each season ranges from 14 to 16 episodes, but the past five seasons (seasons 41-45) have stuck with 13 episodes. The episode count for season 46 has not yet been announced, but we are expecting it to include 13 episodes, as well.
