After another night of amazing performances including both solos and group numbers, The Voice said goodbye to nearly half of the remaining contestants tonight as the Top 9 became the Top 5.

Similar to last week, the night’s show saw a handful of artists making their way into the Top 5 based on America’s votes while the other artists had to fight for their place in the competition in hopes of getting the Instant Save. The four artists who made it into the Top 4 based on America’s votes were:

  • Karen Waldrup (Team Dan + Shay)
  • Nathan Chester (Team Legend)
  • Josh Sanders (Team Reba)
  • Asher HaVon (Team Reba)

This meant the remaining five artists had to take to the stage to perform for their place in the Season 25 finale next week.

The Voice Top 5 revealed: Who was eliminated on The Voice tonight, May 14

After the Top 4 were revealed, the remaining five artists had to sing for the Instant Save in hopes of securing the final spot in the finale. The five artists singing for safety were Maddi Jane and Serenity Arce of Team Chance, Madison Curbelo and Tae Lewis of Team Dan + Shay, and Bryan Olesen from Team Legend.

Serenity Arce kicked off the performances with a rendition of “Because Of You,” followed by a performance of “Wanted” by Tae Lewis. Next was Bryan Olesen singing “Viva La Vida”, followed by “Man in the Mirror” from Madison Curbelo. Maddi Jane then closed out the night with “I’ll Never Love Again.” Once the final performance had been given, the artists’ fates were in America’s hands as they voted to send one of the five performers into the finale next week.

As the episode came to a close, Carson Daly revealed that Bryan Olesen (Team Legend) was moving on to the finals and secured the final place in the Top 5. This meant we said goodbye to the following artists tonight:

  • Maddi Jane (Team Chance)
  • Madison Curbelo (Team Dan + Shay)
  • Serenity Arce (Team Chance)
  • Tae Lewis (Team Dan + Shay)

This means that every coach will have at least one artist in the Top 5 except Chance the Rapper whose final two artists in the competition were both sent home tonight.
