We're going to have to wait for the next installment of The Young and the Restless because the popular daytime soap won't be airing new episodes on March 21 or March 22. It's been preempted due to March Madness. The NCAA College Basketball Championship is interrupting CBS' regularly scheduled programming to bring sports fans the action on the court.

A new episode of the soap will air on Monday, March 25. It's going to have a lot to live up to considering Wednesday, March 20's was quite the story. See, as reported by She Knows Soaps, the episode was dedicated to Claire dreaming of the life she could have had if Jordan hadn't interfered. In it, she'd grown up as Eve Newman Howard. She was surrounded by the love of her family and, while they were still pretty messy, the support and community they built together was apparent.

We even had an appearance from Cassie as Claire's dream included both her and Mariah as twin sisters. They attended the birthday party that was being thrown in her honor. The twist for the episode involved Jordan haunting Claire. She put a damper on the festivities, reminding her former charge that the Newmans do nothing but backstab each other and betray. But Claire wouldn't hear anymore slander against her family. She accused Jordan of brainwashing her and worked to push her out of the happiness her mind was conjuring for her. The episode ended with Claire calling for Victoria who swept her daughter into her arms and held her.

What happens next on Young and the Restless?

Based on the promo, tension is still high between Lily, Heather, and Daniel. Heather's worried about her job as Lily weighs whether or not to fire her. After leaving their conversation in a huff, Lily comes face-to-face with Daniel. The poor woman truly can't catch a break but those two made their bed and literally lied in it so this is on them.

Meanwhile, Audra and Tucker are in the middle of an argument when Nate walks in just as she says, "Don't touch me," so, of course, he's going to intervene. The couple haven't been the same since Ashley started interfering in their relationship which has caused problems. They're broken up but they obviously have unfinished romantic business.

Then, mother and son duo Diane and Kyle butt heads after she reminds him that she's his superior and that he reports to her not the other way around. He apologizes for overstepping but it's the kind with some bite to it, so they certainly aren't all sunshine and rainbows right now.
