SEAL Team: The Complete Series DVD boxset review: What's included with the show?

As you would expect, the SEAL Team: The Complete Series DVD boxset carries all seven seasons of the series. What else do fans get?

It’s hard to believe that SEAL Team has come to an end after seven seasons. And they were seven great seasons. The good news is we can relive it all with the SEAL Team: The Complete Series DVD boxset.

Four seasons of this military drama aired on CBS before the show moved over to Paramount+ for the last three seasons. We weren’t ready to say goodbye to Bravo Team—although the series did a good job wrapping things up—but at least the show was able to wrap up the storylines of those we’d come to know and love.

Throughout the course of the seven seasons, we were taken through all the emotions. This series brought us the realities of those in the military, whether it was about the damage it could do to relationships or the way trauma would come back with even the strongest. There was even a look at the life of a service dog—we all worried about Cerberus, right!

All seven seasons on the SEAL Team: The Complete Series boxset

As you would expect, all seven seasons are available on The Complete Series boxset. That’s 114 episodes across 30 discs.

They all come in one case. This may be disappointing to some as it’s easy to get the discs out of order. It is a shame that there isn’t a large case similar to the Game of Thrones or Buffy the Vampire Slayer complete series boxsets.

Bonus features on the SEAL Team boxset

There are more then five and a half hours of bonus features in the boxset. This covers much of the bonus content that was featured on the individual boxsets, so if you already have the previous six seasons, I’d recommend just getting the final season on DVD. If you don’t have previous seasons, then you’ll need to get the full boxset.

One of the bonus features focuses on the fourth season and how things had to pivot due to the pandemic. Each season has its own bonus material about the storyline for that year, but the season 4 breakdown is interesting. A lot of us wondered what happened when it came to reworking storylines and figuring out filming during such a difficult time, and SEAL Team is open about that.

My favorite parts of all boxsets are the deleted scenes. I love seeing the material that didn’t quite make it to air. Sometimes, it makes sense why the scenes were cut, but then there are times that I wish we could have seen the scene in full glory.

If you’re looking for a Christmas gift for a SEAL Team fan, I highly recommend The Complete Series. With audio commentaries and a look at how each season was filmed, the bonus features add to the experience of the series.
