It is safe to say that Week 5 of BBC One's Strictly Come Dancing was one of the most interesting episodes yet. Multiple couples made mistakes in their routines, highlighting the toll that five - six weeks of constant dancing has on the body, while some of the previous week's champions found themselves on the lower end of the Leaderboard this week.
That paved the way for surprise hits from the likes of Dani and Nikita (who shone in their Salsa), a comeback for the ages from Delta and Kai (who earned the first 10 of the series for their Rumba), and a beautiful, heartfelt performance from Tabby and Mark (who earned two 10s for their Couple's Choice). However, with quite a lot of ties on the Leaderboard, a multitude of couples are in danger of facing the Dance-Off.
Speaking of which, here's an early preview of Strictly's Results Show, informing you of all that you need to know before heading into the episode - from start time and runtime to what you can actually expect from the Dance-Off.
Strictly Week 5's Results Show is in a reliable timeslot
Strictly Come Dancing Week 5's Results Show will air tonight, Sunday October 25, on BBC One at 7:10 p.m. GMT (while also being available to stream on BBC iPlayer). Although that is the show's regular timeslot - and has been for years - it's worth noting that the clocks went back last night, so it might feel like it's on one hour later when it actually isn't.
The episode will have a runtime of 50 minutes as usual, finishing at 8:00 p.m. GMT. Like previous weeks, it was also filmed in adance and subsequently edited together, so there won't be any risk of it running over time. If you are planning on tuning into Antiques Roadshow as soon as Strictly wraps, you will still be able to do so on time.
What you can expect from this week's Results Show and the Dance-Off
Strictly is going viral this weekend, as it will feature a performance from viral superstar Jamie Miller, who is performing his massive hit "Babydoll" on the show. The song is currently the UK No. 1 - a target that it has been hurtling towards for weeks after the viral dance trend that Miller created via social media platforms TikTok and Instagram. We can't wait to see him perform it on the most iconic TV dancefloor in the world.
After that, we will get the results of the public vote / judges' Leaderboard as two more couples will find themselves in the bottom two. Are Shaun and Alexis in the Dance-Off after their Jove struggles on Saturday or will another higher-scoring couple like Jamie and Carlos or Bethany and Nancy find themselves there instead?
While Shaun's placement on the Leaderboard makes it harder for him to escape, the ties actually neutralize that, giving him a fighting chance of escaping (and potentially pulling one of those aforementioned higher-scoring couples further down, too). And that means that anyone below the Top 5-6 couples could find themselves in danger.
Right now, the most likely choices for the Dance-Off are Shaun and Alexis, Lawrence and Jowita, Bethany and Nancy, and Jaime and Carlos. Three of those couples have been in the Dance-Off before while Lawrence is dangerously close the very bottom of the Leaderboard, so it's not too outlandish to think that any four of them could be in danger. But, again, the public vote could change everything!
