Strictly spoilers and results 2024: Who is leaving on Strictly Come Dancing Week 7?
It's Icons Week on Strictly Come Dancing! That's right; for the first time ever, this brand new theme week will pay tribute to some of the most popular musical icons of all time, with dances and performances that are nods to Taylor Swift, Freddie Mercury and Queen, Bruno Mars, George Michael, Whitney Houston, and Pink.
After last week's Halloween Spooktacular (which saw Shayne Ward and Nancy take on Punam and Gorka in the Dance-Off), our couples got the chance to glitz it up a little bit more with some iconic glamor. There were powerful performances, non-stop performances, and some tearjerking ones too.
But when all was said and done, who turned in the most iconic routines of the night. Here are all theStrictly spoilers, results, and scores from the Week 67 Saturday Night show and eveything else that took place on that dancefloor.
Strictly spoilers and results: Week 7 Leaderboard
What an iconic night of dancing! Okay, I'm going to stop it now, I promise. In all honesty, this was a pretty unnecessary theme week that actually took away from the dancing. The performances weren't as good as they were on Halloween, which feels like a bit of a step backwards. There were also some inconsistencies in the performance criteria, as some were dressed as their icons, and others just danced to their music.
Even so, there were some memorable performances, including a stunning Couple's Choice routine from Tasha and Aljaž that had audiences in tears and saw them top the Leaderboard. JB and Lauren also delivered a lively Couple's Choice routine that saw them joint top of the Leaderboard. But the bst dance of the night may have been Sarah and Vito, whose non-stop Cha Cha Cha had the judges amazed.
Here are all of the results from the Strictly Week 7 Saturday night Icons Week show, the scores that each dance got, and the Leaderboard we were left with:
- Tasha and Aljaž danced their Couple's Choice - 39
- JB and Lauren danced their Couple's Choice - 39
- Sarah and Vito danced the Cha Cha Cha - 37
- Montell and Johannes danced the Waltz - 35
- Shayne and Nancy danced the Quickstep - 35
- Jamie and Michelle danced the Samba - 31
- Wynne and Katya danced the Rumba - 30
- Sam and Nikita danced the American Smooth - 29
- Chris and Dianne danced the Tango - 29
- Pete and Jowita danced the Salsa - 22
Who is in danger on Strictly Come Dancing Week 7?
This is the hardest night of dancing to call so far. It wasn't as good a show as Halloween Week, which is just one of the many reasons why we didn't need another theme week, but with some generous marking for some contestants and undermarking for others, this is going to be a very interesting result.
On paper, Pete and Jowita are in most danger considering that they are at the bottom of the Leaderboard, but due to the amount of ties above them, they stand a good chance of escaping (Pete has proven extremely popular with the public and he now has 4 points due to the ties... instead of of1). Chris and Dianne and Sam and Nikita have also proved popular with the public, escaping the Dance-Off in the past due to strong public support (and they also have more points than they normally would due to the ties on the Leaderboard).
That certainly doesn't rule them out from a Dance-Off appearance but they are more battle-tested than the likes of Wynne and Katya and Jamie and Michelle who are right above them. We also wouldn't rule out an appearance from Shayne and Nancy, who aren't as safe as they look due to the ties on the Leaderboard.
It's a hard week to call, but if we had to predict, we'd say that any two of Wynne and Katya, Sam and Nikita, Shayne and Nancy, and Pete and Jowita could end up in the Dance-Off.
Update, Sunday November 3: In what was the first major Shock Dance-Off this season, Sam and Nikita ended up dancing off against Montell and Johannes. The judges unanimously saved Montell and Johannes, resulting in Sam and Nikita's elimination.
Sam and Nikita have been a joy to watch over the course of the past seven weeks and it goes without saying that they had more to give. Revisit their magical Taylor Swift-inspired American Smooth here:
