It's that time of year again! No, we're not talking about the holidays (although they are pretty close); we're talking about the iconic Blackpool Week on Strictly Come Dancing. The remaining eight couples take to the legendary Blackpool Tower Ballroom in the hopes of creating a moment that will live on in Strictly history, and they get to do it on that renowned sprung floor, perfect for routines like the Quickstep and the Samba.

After last week's Dance-Off saw a split decision from the judges, it was Shayne Ward and Nancy Xu that were sent home in what many considered a shock given that Shayne was one of the series' early frontrunners. That highlights just how close the competition is right now, and it makes getting to Blackpool all the more imperative.

So, just how bright did all of the sparkles and glitzing routines shine in the Tower Ballroom? Here are all the Strictly spoilers, results, and scores from the Week 9 Saturday Night show and everything else that took place on that dancefloor.

Strictly spoilers and results: Week 9 Leaderboard

Blackpool Week never fails to entertain on Strictly Come Dancing and this year's edition was absolutely no different. All nine couples brought memorable routines that grabbed viewers' attention, with some opting for larger-than-life showy numbers while others stunned with traditional ballroom routines.

Sarah and Vito channelled their inner Kylie Minogue to a brilliant Couples' Choice to "Padam Padam" that saw them top the Leaderboard, along with Tasha and Aljaž who delivered a powerful Paso Doble worthy of the iconic Blackpool stage. Chris and Dianne brought the ballroom elegance with a classic American Smooth while Montell and Johannes and Jamie and Michelle brought the party with some Blackpool-themed Latin dances.

It was a high standard of dancing all around and one that won't be forgotten by the British public anytime soon. With that in mind, here are all of the results from the Strictly Week 9 Saturday night Blackpool show, the scores that each of the performances got, and the Leaderboard we were left with at the end of the show:

  • Sarah and Vito danced their Couple's Choice - 39
  • Tasha and Aljaž danced the Paso Doble - 39
  • Chris and Dianne danced the American Smooth - 37
  • Montell and Johannes danced the Salsa - 35
  • JB and Lauren danced the Quickstep - 35
  • Jamie and Michelle danced the Jive - 33
  • Wynne and Katya danced the Charleston - 32
  • Pete and Jowita danced the Cha Cha Cha - 27

Who is in danger on Strictly Come Dancing Week 9?

We have two ties on the Leaderboard this week, and as we all know, that makes it easier for the lower-scoring couples like Pete and Jowita to escape the Dance-Off (as it ensures that they have more points than a Leaderboard without ties would). They're going to need that help as they are indeed at the bottom of the Leaderboard this week. Pete's public support has proven to be strong, but it will eventually not be enough to see him through if he's at the bottom of the Leaderboard in a consistently shrinking competition. That said, it's still possible (likely, even) that he could escape this week.

Something that also works in his favour is that couples who have previously been in the Dance off - Wynne and Katya, JB and Lauren, and Montell and Johannes - are just above him/in the middle of the Leaderboard, so there is a pretty strong chance that two of those three could find themselves there if Pete's public vote holds up.

With that in mind, we're predicting a Dance-Off of Wynne and Katya and JB and Lauren. There is also a chance of Montell and Johannes finding themselves there, and a Pete and Jowita Dance-Off appearance is still a possibility, too.

Update, Sunday November 17: Wynne and Katya had to compete against Montell and Johannes in the second Dance-Off appearance for both couples. It was an excellently-danced Dance Off, which the judges commended both couples for. However, they unanimously saved Montell and Johannes, eliminating Wynne and Katya from the competition.

It goes without saying that Wynne and Katya were a joyous pair who always brought strong dancing and high entertainment to the show. Strictly 2024 will certainly miss their presence. Relive their non-stop Charleston routine from Blackpool here:
