There's amazing news to share with Sullivan's Crossing fans, and it's likely the news that we have been wondering since the fourth season came to an end on both CTV and The CW. Whenever a season finishes airing, the biggest question on every fan's mind is whether there will be another. Well, we just got confirmation on the fate of the hit romantic drama series.
Ahead of Bell Media's Upfront presentation on Thursday, June 4, the entertainment company released announcements about the upcoming slate of content for the 2026-2027 television season across its various brands, including CTV and streamer Crave. Among this news was the announcement of the Sullivan's Crossing season 5 renewal.
Sullivan's Crossing renewed for season 5 at CTV
In the company's press release, Bell Media revealed that CTV renewed Sullivan's Crossing for a fifth season and shares that the show remains the network's No. 1 drama series. While specific viewership numbers weren't included to back up that claim, it's clear to see that the show remains incredibly beloved. Now that the show has been renewed in Canada, what does that mean for its US fate?

Each time that Sullivan's Crossing has been renewed by its home network in Canada, The CW has quickly followed suit to pick up the romantic drama and give it a place to air and stream in the United States. As of this writing on June 4, the American network hasn't formally announced the season 5 renewal, but we shouldn't doubt that an announcement will be coming very soon.
Sullivan's Crossing season 4 was a major season of change for the show, not just onscreen but behind the scenes, too. Before the season made its premiere, Scott Patterson's exit was revealed. Sully's permanent departure came as a shock to fans, and Patterson's comments about creative disagreements about the direction of the show were an even bigger shock.
Aside from Patterson leaving the show, and likely not coming back despite showrunner Roma Roth saying that the door remains open for the actor, the fourth season also shook things up for Maggie and Cal's relationship with the return of Maggie's ex-husband Liam. Immediately, he became a source of mystery and jealousy for the couple just as they were getting on even footing.
Although the season 4 finale mostly wrapped things up for the Maggie and Liam storyline, her romantic future with Cal continues to be surrounded by questions marks going into Sullivan's Crossing season 5. But Maggie will have a fresh start professionally in the upcoming new season, which should allow for the couple to find their way back to each other in a real way.
Now that the fifth season has been confirmed, the next logical question for fans is when will the episodes begin rolling out. While production dates have yet to be revealed, we can reasonably assume the cast and crew will get back to work later this summer and wrap up filming before the end of 2026. Since season 1, the series has debuted new seasons in the spring, so expect Sullivan's Crossing season 5 to arrive on our watch lists sometime in March or April 2027.
