We’re already at Week 3 of The Bachelor Season 29, and Grant Ellis’s season is going well!
Grant is doing his best so far, navigating his many relationships, the in-house drama, and the general pressure of being the lead.
Let’s get to the best and worst moments of Episode 3!
1. Best moment: Girl talk
Near the beginning of Episode 3, we get some fun, lighthearted content of the girls chatting while hanging out in the mansion.
We learn that Parisa had a dream that a man was ripping her teeth out. The Bachelor mansion will really mess with your head!
We also learn that Natalie dreamed she saved a baby penguin and it imprinted on her, which led to a discussion of the finer points of imprinting, which led to Chloie wondering how to get Grant to imprint on her.
Now, this was not ‘real” girl talk, as it was clear they knew cameras were on them.
However, this still provided some much-needed levity and realness!
The Bachelor, for all of its virtues, can feel a bit overly staged and dramatic at times, and we can miss out on the lighter details that allow us to truly get to know the women. I feel like I got to know these three women more in this short conversation than I have in the three episodes so far!
2. Worst moment: Clothing commentary
On the group date after party, Zoe breaks down in tears over feeling invisible to Grant. This seems reasonable, as I’m sure most of them feel this way on a group date. However, I can see how this could be annoying given that they signed up for this and they’re all just trying to make the best of the experience.
However, what was even more annoying was when Sarafiena appears to call out Zoe for wearing the shortest dress she has ever seen.
It was hard to tell exactly how this was said, but if it was indeed said, it’s the worst moment of the episode!
To call out another woman for wearing a short dress is just so unnecessary Wake up call: You’re all on The Bachelor! You’re not exactly at church.
