The Cleaning Lady and Alert will return in 2025, but not in the winter

FOX has announced its winter 2025 dates, but there are some shows noticeably missing. When will The Cleaning Lady and Alert return?

We’re now into the winter breaks for a lot of shows, and that means eyes are on return dates. FOX has its January and February schedules set, but there are some shows missing. When will we see the likes of The Cleaning Lady and Alert.

Yes, these two and Family Guy were noticeably missing from the list of January premieres. This has fans concerned, but don’t worry, FOX isn’t holding them for the next TV schedule. This isn’t a repeat of last year with 911: Lone Star and Accused.

The Cleaning Lady and Alert will return in the 2024–2025 schedule

There are still plans to bring The Cleaning Lady, Alert: Missing Persons Unit, and Family Guy back before May 2025. They are set for this TV cycle, but we’ll have to wait a little long. It looks like the shows are going to arrive in March.

This isn’t necessarily bad news. When the shows do return, they’ll likely still get their May finales. With a March premiere, it means there is no need to take breaks in the schedule. Consistency is important for the future of shows. It’s the rule ABC has followed with The Rookie and Will Trent, which will both premiere in January 2025 rather than getting fall premiere dates.

What is interesting is that 911: Lone Star will air its series finale on Monday. Feb. 3. This opens up a Monday night slot for either The Cleaning Lady or Alert: Missing Persons Unit. FOX will likely want to air the two shows back to back, so we’ll probably see the network wait for the Rescue: Hi-Surf season 1 finale before bringing us the two shows back.

When will we find out when the shows will return?

With the shows clearly not set to return by mid-February, we’re probably going to learn more in either January or early February. This timeline is normal for shows that are returning in March. It allows the networks to see how the schedules are working out with the end of football season, and factors in any issues with pre-emptions.

For now, you can catch up on both The Cleaning Lady and Alert: Missing Persons Unit on Hulu.
