Tuesday, March 11 will be a big event for Celina, as she takes on her new solo assignment on The Rookie, season 7, episode 9, "The Kiss." She completed her rookie training and is approaching her next career chapter. It's not going to go smoothly, but with help from a colleague, Celina might succeed. I surely hope so, because every officer deserves to prove themselves on the force and achieve.
On Tuesday, March 4, we didn't get a new episode, as the presidential speech was airing, and several shows, not just The Rookie, took the night off. It was the first time during the season that the police drama skipped an episode. As we're halfway through the season, with "The Kiss," we're hoping that there won't be any more breaks.
In The Rookie season 7, episode 8, "Wildfire," the team fought against raging flames while trying to track down a dangerous murderer. Also, Lucy and Tim reaffirmed their love for one another when their lives were at stake and the emotions were high. Could this mean that they're going to get back together, with their relationship strengthened? There are only nine episodes left, so we will see if Chenford takes that next step.

Tim and Lucy isn't the only couple with conflict, as Nyla and James are having their personal struggles. Things look bleak when Nolan witnesses James kissing another woman, that places both men in vulnerable spaces. Plus, the building drama is leading up to something that will take a crash, and that extramarital moment of passion will look like a scratch in comparison.
As for Celina, her first solo case involves reporting that James has been a victim of either a gang or a killer while he was on duty. We don't know his fate yet, but if the writers decide to do the "D" word on James while he is in a compromising predicament with his wife, that's a salty move.

ABC will do the live broadcast of The Rookie at 9/8c follow a brand new episode of Will Trent. There will be a repeat episode of High Potential at 10/9c. If you can't watch The Rookie live, or its neighboring shows, you can stream them on Hulu the next day.
