If you’re hoping to find out what goes down at the next roundtable following the shocking end of The Traitors: New Blood episode 4, we’ve got some bad news for you. There will sadly be no new episode of The Traitors: New Blood coming fans’ way tonight, Thursday, October 1.

NBC tipped fans off that there would be no new episode this week when the promo for episode 5 promised the action would continue on October 8, and we can confirm there is no new episode this week. The Traitors: New Blood is being pulled from the schedule this evening with no new episode or rerun planned as NBC turns the night over to MLB Playoff coverage.

Rather than airing a new episode of The Traitors: New Blood, those tuning into their local NBC affiliate tonight will instead find Game 3 coverage of the American League Wild Card with the Boston Red Sox taking on the New York Yankees at Yankee Stadium. Thankfully, this is just a one-week break in the schedule, though there is more change ahead for The Traitors: New Blood when the season resumes next Thursday.

While the first two weeks in the show’s run brought viewers a double-pump of episodes, with two episodes airing each week, that will change on October 8. Beginning next Thursday, there will be just one episode of The Traitors: New Blood airing on NBC as the network welcomes back Law & Order: SVU and Law & Order, which will kick off their new seasons on October 8 and then air weekly as part of NBC’s programming block.

The one-episode-a-week format is nothing new to fans, as The Traitors typically opens with a three-episode premiere event on Peacock before shifting to weekly episodes after. The biggest difference is that the streaming episodes tend to have a longer runtime, whereas the broadcast format will call for shorter episodes by design to fit in ad breaks.

Considering how the show has edited the first four episodes, with the episodes often bleeding into one another, it’s going to be interesting to see how this format shift will impact future episodes. Cliffhangers are nothing new to the franchise, and that’s something that is certain to continue in the episodes ahead, which is definitely going to drive us up the wall and make the wait between new episodes feel endless.

When The Traitors: New Blood resumes with episode 5, we’ll get to see how the roundtable plays out and who will be banished from the castle next. Jay is set on making a scene at the roundtables, but could his plan backfire, or will he actually help the group find a traitor by singling out Katie? We know he started to toss her name around before the roundtable, and we fully expect her to come under fire during the vote.

After the banishment, the traitors will have to face yet another challenge as they work to commit a murder in plain sight, paving the way for a terrifying night for the faithfuls!

Don't miss the next new episode of The Traitors: New Blood on Thursday, October 8, at 8/7c on NBC!
