It’s truly wild to think that The Voice has been on the air for 30 seasons now. It feels like just the other day Blake Shelton, Adam Levine, CeeLo Green, and Christina Aguilera helped usher in a new era for singing competition series, and somehow we blinked, and 30 seasons have gone by.
Since that first season, The Voice has welcomed some of music’s biggest names to the coaching ensemble, with Grammy winners and music legends taking a seat in the show’s now iconic big red chairs. Through the years, there have been mainstays who have stuck around for several seasons and others who have come and gone after just one season, but each has left an indelible mark on the show and its many artists.
For season 30, we’ve got a mix of longtime coaches and new coaches looking to make their mark on the show. There’s returning OG coach Adam Levine, who is back for his 19th season as a coach and is our reigning champion, having helped coach Alexia Jayy to victory last season. Also back this season is Kelly Clarkson, who is returning for her tenth season as coach and looking to pick up her fifth win as a coach.
They’re joined by first-time coaches Queen Latifah and Riley Green, who join The Voice family as the season’s newest judges, replacing John Legend, who joined Clarkson and Levine in season 29, which detoured from the usual four-coach format.
Season 30 kicked off on September 21, and fans were quickly captivated by the new coach lineup, but there was another question on the minds of the fans as they watched the premiere, one that will likely come up for many fans as they watch the season: How old are this season’s coaches? It’s an understandable question to have, especially when the various coaches start tossing around comments about being in the industry for decades and hyping up their accomplishments to try to persuade artists into choosing to join their teams.

Adam Levine (47)
Adam Levine might be the longest-tenured coach, but he’s not the oldest coach competing this season on The Voice. Levine was born on March 18, 1979, making him 47 years old as of season 30 and making him the second oldest coach of this season. Levine first broke into the industry when he was just 23 with the release of Maroon 5’s debut album, Songs About Jane.
Kelly Clarkson (44)
At the age of 44, Kelly Clarkson is our second-youngest coach of The Voice season 30. Clarkson was born on April 24, 1982, and first entered our hearts when she was just 19 years old and won the first season of American Idol. Since winning American Idol and helping to launch the wave of talent competition shows that have changed the lives of countless individuals since, Clarkson has released 10 studio albums and even hosted her own daytime talk show, The Kelly Clarkson Show, which ended just this summer.
Queen Latifah (56)
Looks can be deceiving, and that is truly the case with Queen Latifah, who is somehow the oldest coach competing this season. Queen Latifah was born on March 18, 1970, making her 56 years old as of 2026, which doesn’t feel correct, as the Queen is absolutely radiant and looks half her age! Queen Latifah has actually been in the industry for almost as long as our youngest coach of the season has been alive, releasing her debut album, All Hail the Queen, on November 7, 1989, at the age of 19.
Riley Green (37)
Funny enough, our newest coaches are both the oldest and youngest coaches of the season. At 37, Riley Green is our youngest coach, having been born on October 18, 1988, which means he’ll be turning 38 this fall. While there isn’t much of an age difference between Green and his fellow coaches, he broke into the industry at a much later stage in his life with his first album, Round Here, releasing in 2019.
