NBC promised fans it would have some surprises to help celebrate the landmark 30th season of The Voice, and it seems that will include the biggest premiere week in the show’s history.Â
The Voice season 30 will kick off with a supersized three-night premiere event that will bring fans four hours of entertainment to kick off the milestone season. The action will begin with the two-hour season 30 premiere on Monday, September 21, followed by one-hour episodes on Tuesday, September 22, and Wednesday, September 23! Talk about an exciting way to kick off the new season!Â
While we have seen two-night premieres for The Voice many times over the years, NBC has only ever brought fans a three-night premiere twice before in the show’s history. The first came back in 2012 with season 3, while the last three-night premiere event occurred nearly a decade ago back in 2017 with the premiere of season 13. It seems only fitting NBC brings it back for the 30th season.Â
Season 30 will welcome back returning coaches Kelly Clarkson and Adam Levine, both of whom made their return to the franchise in season 29 for The Voice: Battle of Champions. The milestone season will also welcome two new coaches to the franchise, with Queen Latifah and Riley Green joining Clarkson and Levine as The Voice season 30 coaches.Â
It’s always fun when a pair of new coaches enter the mix, and we’re excited to see what Queen Latifah and Green bring to the show. We also love that NBC managed to get Levine back for the milestone season, giving us an original coach on the panel for the season. And everything in life is better when Kelly Clarkson is involved, and we could not be happier to have the Queen of The Voice (and let’s be real, the Queen of singing competition shows period) back as a coach!Â
Heading into season 30, it’s going to be interesting to see what new spins could be coming to the format of the show as we’ve seen a lot of updates to the formatting of the show’s rounds in recent years. The one thing that NBC has teased is that the 30th season will feature surprises along the way, including special appearances from former coaches and mentors.
It's always fun when a show is celebrating a milestone season, and it's clear by NBC's three-night premiere plans that the network is going big for season 30!
