We are certainly closing in on finale season, but there are still plenty of shows to check out. Here’s a look at everything that will air across the broadcast networks tonight, Tuesday, April 22.
It’s mostly a full night of new content. NBC has a bit of a mix now that the later Tuesday night shows have come to an end, and ABC will continue with its 20/20 Bad Romance special, but the other networks are sticking to a night of new content of their top shows.
4 shows to watch and 2 to skip tonight, Tuesday, April 22
Where do we start with TV? There’s so much on that it can feel a little overwhelming trying to watch everything. Well, part of it depends on what you’re in the mood for, but with so many shows still on the bubble, you’ll want to put your live viewing focus on them.
Start the night with The Cleaning Lady on FOX, as the series continues to sit on the bubble. It is toward the bottom of the list of FOX shows when it comes to the linear ratings, so if you want to see more of thes tory, it’s more important than ever to watch live right now.
The same applies to Alert: Missing Persons Unit. While the series got off to a great start compared to season 2, there has been a dip in the linear ratings. This isn’t too concerning at this point as there are plenty of other shows below it, but if you want to see a fourth season and continue to see how the team handles cases without Nikki, then you’ll need to keep watching live.
After that, you can turn the channel over to FBI: Most Wanted to give this series a good exit. There are a lot of questions about how the series will end for various characters, with it look like Remy could retire and Barnes could get a Supervisory Agent position in DC. What will life for the Fugitive Task Force look like?
If there’s one show to put on record, it’s Night Court. It remains one of the NBC comedies still on the bubble, and we just can’t see this one canceled. The best option is to watch live, but since it’s on at the same time as The Cleaning Lady, record it and watch it before you go to bed. There are some great guest stars, and it’s brought so much of the original series back to life!
What about the shows to skip? Well, Will Trent and The Rookie have both been renewed for new seasons, so they’re the safe bets when it comes to streaming the following day. However, I know how hard it is to miss them, especially Will Trent!
