While a lot of people are celebrating Christmas today, not everyone is. Even those that are may still be looking for something to watch on TV tonight, Wednesday, Dec. 25.
There is plenty to watch on streaming services, with a lot of shows and movies dropping today to give families something to do and watch. Netflix is the place to turn if you love sport, and Disney+ is the place for the Doctor Who fans. But what about broadcast networks? What’s on tonight? Well, you may be surprised by the mixture of offerings.
Christmas movies, NCIS reruns, and more
If today is just a normal day for you, then you may want to avoid all the Christmas movies that are airing. CBS has you covered, with a night of NCIS reruns. And yes, it’s only the flagship series that is airing tonight throughout the primetime block. After getting a rerun of the NCIS season 22 premiere the night before, fans will now get to rewatch the next three episodes of the season back to back.
If you love LEGO Masters, there’s more good news about reruns. This is a Christmasy theme, but it’s not your usual fare. LEGO Masters Bricktacular continues after the reruns of the first two episodes last night. We get reruns of the Tuesday, Dec. 17 episodes, which sees the four teams create a person to sit on a skateboard and a unique holiday story made only out of LEGO.
Now something for those with kids in the house. Are you trying to find something that will help them wind down after a day of toys and gifts? Dr. Seuss’ How the Grinch Stole Christmas is going to air throughout the night. The network will start with the 1966 version and then jump into the 2000s movie, so they’re suitable for all ages. Okay, maybe it won’t send them to sleep, but you can grab jammies and blankets and encourage some wind-down time.
