Another Friday is here, and this one is a little different to normal. We’re still in the winter break on broadcast TV, but here’s what’s on tonight, Friday, Dec. 27.
While Christmas is over, the New Year celebrations are just around the corner. Naturally, that means the broadcast networks are still on a break. That break is almost over, as Happy’s Place and Lopez vs. Lopez will return with new episodes next Friday, Jan. 3. For now, we’ll get reruns and some holiday programming across the networks.
Happy’s Place rerun, College Football, and more
NBC has a Friday night that looks similar, but it’s mostly about the reruns. Happy’s Place kicks off the night with season 1, episode 5, titled “Ladies Night.” Bobbie and Isabella want to show Gabby that she can be happy without a man. To do that, they decide to put on Ladies Night at the tavern. Of course, things don’t go the way as planned. That’s usually the case, right?
Then there’s a rerun of the Lopez vs. Lopez season 3 premiere, titled “Lopez vs. Wedding.” Mayan and Quinten want the wedding this have envisioned. That’s not going to be all that easy, though, when you have Mayan’s parents getting in the way! It also doesn’t help that neither of them really know what their vision is.
If you want to watch sports, there are a couple of options. You can check out the new episode of Inside the NFL on The CW, or you can turn to FOX for College Football. The latter is live, with Washington State making its fifth appearance in the Holiday Bowl.
With the Grammys just around the corner, it’s not surprising to find out that CBS is putting on a special Grammy Greats: The Stories Behind the Songs will air tonight, with Gayle King and Mickey Guyton hosting. They will take a look back at the past Song of the Year winners, and as the title suggests, take a look at the meanings behind those songs.
