It may be the start of January, but not all nights are back to normal. In fact, some of them won’t be for a few weeks. That doesn’t mean there’s nothing on TV tonight, Thursday, Jan. 9.
The broadcast networks have us covered with reruns, streaming shows getting linear showings, and reality TV. You just need to decide what you want to watch live. Of course, it’s best if you know the full TV lineup before the night begins.
Only Murders in the Building, Animal Control, and more
FOX is the only network that has its regular Thursday programming happening right now. We’ll get a night of reality TV and comedy, so you just need to decide what you’re interested in. The night starts with Hell’s Kitchen, which is always fun when we want to see aspiring chefs attempt to impress Gordon Ramsey—and hey, some of them do!
After that, it’s a night of comedy, starting with a new episode of Animal Control. Emily has a new rich benefactor, but he seems to be easily offended. That means he can’t come across Frank at all, but how can Emily keep Frank away from this man without it being too obvious?
If you’re in the mood for a dramedy, you’ll need to turn to ABC. After starting off with a new episode of Extreme Makeover: Home Edition, we get two more episodes of Only Murders in the Building season 2. Thursdays won’t return to normal until March, but that does mean we get to see the Hulu series get a linear outing for the second season.
CBS and NBC are opting for reruns for the most part. NBC brings us a night of Law & Order and Found reruns. This is a great chance to get caught up on the three shows before they return next Thursday, Jan. 16.
