There is plenty to check out on TV tonight, Sunday, Jan. 19. Now you just need to determine whether you want to watch a movie, sports, or something in between.

This is a big weekend for the NFL. It’s all about the NFL Divisional Playoffs, and one of those games will push into the primetime schedule. It’s not on the usual network for Sundays, though. If you’re still not interested in sports, though, there are still some great options across the broadcast networks.

NFL Divisional Playoffs, Bring It On, and more

We start with the NFL Divisional Playoffs. We’re used to Sunday night games airing in NBC, but that’s not the case tonight. While there is a game on NBC, that is earlier in the day. Instead, the evening game will air on CBS this week, with the schedule starting at 6:30 p.m. ET/3:30 p.m. PT. The game is spent to air for most of the night, but there is a rerun of the Hollywood Squares at the end of the night.

It’s worth noting that NBC will have a special showing of The Hunting Party. This is before the usual primetime slots, with the episode timed for after the Divisional Playoff game earlier in the evening. If you’re dying to check out the new series, make sure you tune in at 7 p.m. ET/PT.

Over on The CW, there’s a movie that many have come to love. It’s all about Bring It On, and it is still something that can teach good lessons today. This is more than just a cheerleading movie. It brings a story of identity, strength, and fairness. Of course, there’s the cheerleading competition, but there is a lot about personal growth at the same time.

If you need something to watch with the whole family, you’ll want to turn to ABC. After a new episode of America’s Funniest Home Videos, there is a showing of the live action Beauty and the Beast. You know the story, so it needs no introduction. There are some important lessons throughout the course of the movie, including about understanding and compassion. Plus, who doesn’t love Luke Evans as Gaston?
