Mondays are slowly getting back to normal. It will still be a week before most of the shows are back, but tonight, Monday, Jan. 20, sees some great offerings on the broadcast networks.
This is the night that 911: Lone Star fans have been waiting for. The series is back, although it will only be for three weeks. The series comes to an end in early February, and none of us are ready for it.
911: Lone Star, The Traitors, and more
Let’s start with the return of the FOX lineup. 911: Lone Star kicks off the night, and we start our countdown to the end. Things aren’t looking great for Judd, as he is clearly lying in an AA meeting. The last three episodes are also set to bring us a world-ending event with a meteor about to hit Austin, Texas. The 126 will need to protect themselves and their loved ones while keeping everyone else in the city calm.
There’s also the return of Rescue: Hi-Surf, which will see tensions run high between Will and Em. They are no engaging in their affair, and it’s only going to end up messy, especially considering Sonny wants Em to become the next captain.
Meanwhile, NBC will bring us three hours of The Traitors. This is actually a Peacock series, but there’s no doubt that we’re excited to see it play out on broadcast TV. A lot of Peacock shows are getting a linear slot, as it’s a great way to gain more interest in the show and get more viewers over to the streaming platforms.
ABC and CBS will both end the night with news coverage of President Donald Trump’s Inauguration, which takes place during the day. There are reruns of Will Trent and the NCIS shows on their respective networks up to that last hour of the night.
