After a quiet February, which saw most of our favorite broadcast shows either off the schedule or in reruns due to the 2026 Winter Olympics, March is coming in strong! Not only are the biggest shows on ABC, CBS, Fox, and NBC back with new episodes, but the first week of March will see two of the biggest TV crossover events unfolding within 24 hours of one another.

This week, NBC will be staging a three-show crossover with the One Chicago shows, while ABC will be staging its first crossover between 911 and 911: Nashville. The crossovers will unfold just 24 hours apart, making for quite an exciting week for TV viewers and marking a rare occasion, as it’s not often we see two major franchises staging a crossover event in the same week, let alone within 24 hours of one another.

NBC kicks off the action on Wednesday, March 4, with the 2026 One Chicago crossover event, which will bring together the casts of Chicago Fire, Chicago Med, and Chicago PD.

The One Chicago crossover will kick off on Chicago Fire, which will be airing an hour earlier this week, and begins with the disappearance of a passenger jet. Upon responding to the call at the airfield, the Firehouse 51 team ends up cracking open a bigger and deadlier mystery that will bring not only the doctors of Gaffney and the Intelligence Unit of the Chicago PD but also the FBI into the mix.

The 2026 One Chicago crossover promises high stakes and life-or-death consequences, and it also promises to bring back a few familiar faces with the returns of Jesse Lee Soffer and Tracy Spiridakos. The pair’s return is sure to be a highlight of the event, and it seems that fans can expect to see the pair featured heavily across the crossover, gifting fans the chance to see Upstead back together again.

Jump ahead 24 hours, and ABC will stage a crossover event of its own by bringing the casts of 911 and 911: Nashville together for the first time. ABC’s 911 crossover is going to be a bit smaller in scale than the One Chicago crossover event, but it’s going to be a can’t-miss for fans of the franchise.

Rather than being a true two-episode crossover that will bring the casts together in a shared organic storyline, it appears the crossover will be set up towards the end of 911 before then carrying over into 911: Nashville, where the bulk of the action will take place.

As the synopsis for 911 teases, Buck and Eddie will head to Nashville after they’re selected to compete in the national firefighting games. It’s then in 911: Nashville that we’ll get to see the duo facing off against members of the 113 in the competition in good fun. The crossover between the two shows is sure to be unlike any we’ve seen before from the franchise. Typically, when the shows have staged a crossover, it’s a natural disaster that is at the heart of the event, which is why it’s going to be fun to see what the writers have cooked up by bringing the casts together for some friendly competition instead.

Of course, we won’t be surprised if something goes wrong during the firefighting games, which require Buck and Eddie and the 113 to put the competition aside in order to team up and save the day. Regardless, though, it’s going to be fun seeing Buck and Eddie face off against Ryan and Blue and also taking in the Nashville scene while they’re in town.

It’s going to be a pair of unique crossovers that will shape up to be two unforgettable nights of television for TV fans!
