There are a few shows that we’ve been eagerly anticipating, and Watson is definitely one of them. The great news is that the series will debut tonight, Sunday, Jan. 26.
The series is getting a specially timeslot for its premiere. This makes sense to get the eyes on it, and it’s something CBS has had a lot of success with in the past. Shows like Tracker, The Equalizer, and Matlock have all benefitted from premium slots for series premieres. So, we’re excited to see Watson get some similar results.
When will Watson air tonight?
While the series is set for the 9 p.m. ET/PT timeslot usually from February, it’s getting a special timeslot tonight. You’ll want to tune in straight after the AFC Championship Game. Of course, if you’re watching the game, just stay tuned straight after. This is the special slot, as CBS is expecting a few people to remain tuned in after the game.
The current timing is set for 10 p.m. ET/PT. Of course, there’s no guarantee of this happening. The game could go into overtime, pushing the time back. This is something that happened to Tracker after the Super Bowl last year. A lot of people were worried about what it meant for the series, but honestly, I don’t think it affected things too negatively. Most people know football games can and often do go into overtime.
Here are all the details you need to watch the episode on CBS live tonight. Don’t forget, you can stream the following day on Paramount+. You can also watch CBS live on Paramount+!

What to expect in the Watson series premiere
We’re going to meet the characters in this new episode. We’ll also get some backstory about Dr. John Watson, who is going back into a career in medicine after spending years working with the late Sherlock Holmes. Watson works on figuring out rare diseases, which means there is some detective work needed.
However, he’s going to end up with a face from the past turning up. His and Holmes’s old foe, Moriarty, is back. Moriarty was presumed dead along with Holmes for the last seven months. Is it possible that Moriarty isn’t the only one still alive?
