Sunday nights are all about the new CBS freshman series Watson, but there’s some bad news tonight, Sunday, April 6. This is just a short break, though.

This is one of those standard breaks for scheduling purposes. CBS needs to spread out all the episodes available to the finale dates now set, and there are always more weeks to fill than there are episodes available. So, we end up with these breaks where there are reruns and special programming.

There is a Watson rerun at a later time tonight, Sunday, April 6

While there isn’t a new episode on tonight, there is a rerun. However, you’ll need to tune in at the later time of 10 p.m. ET/PT.

CBS will air An Evening with Elton John and Brandi Carlile first, as the two share their new album they’ve been working on. Then there’s a rerun of Tracker before the rerun of Watson.

Don’t worry about what this change of schedule means for the show, though. Watson has finally landed a second season, which means we’ll see more medical mysteries and detective work, while also finding out what Moriarty wants with Watson.

When will Watson return with new episodes?

This break is a short one, as CBS gets ready to close down its current TV season. We’ll get a new episode next Sunday, April 13, and the episode will air at the usual time of 9/8c.

The new episode is titled “Take a Family History,” and it means that Ingrid’s lies are about to come back to hurt her. Gigi, her sister, suffers complications and side effects from the study Ingrid got her in, and now the team will need to help get to the bottom of it. We always knew this secret was going to come out, but the big question is what it will do to her career. I guess we’ll get some answers by the end of the episode.

We’re closing in on the finale of the season, and it will be a two-part final spread over two weeks. It’s shaping up to be a big ending with the way Moriarty is messing around with Watson’s health.

Watson airs on Sundays at 9/8c on CBS. Catch up the following day on Paramount+.
