Is Watson new tonight on CBS, Sunday, Feb. 2?

We got our first look at Watson starring Morris Chestnut last Sunday. Will there be a new episode of the series on tonight, Sunday, Feb. 2?

After a fun opening with a surprising casting choice at the end, fans are looking to tune into the next episode of Watson tonight, Sunday, Feb. 2. There is some bad news.

No, there isn’t a new episode of the series tonight. This would usually be an odd decision, but CBS was making the most of the post-AFC Championship timeslot to give the new medical series a push. Only time will tell if it worked, as we need to see how the next few episodes play out in the linear ratings. There’s just a wait for the next episode.

Watson will not air a new episode tonight

While it was winter premiere week for CBS, that’s not the case for the network tonight. Sundays are not yet back to normal. Tonight, Sunday, Feb. 2 is the night for the 67th Grammy Awards, and CBS gets to air them. That means there will be nothing in terms of usual dramas.

The series will remain on a break next week as well. Next Sunday is Super Bowl Sunday. There is no way that any network is going up against that with new episodes of shows. CBS will air a full night of Tracker reruns.

When will Watson return with new episodes?

We need to wait until after the Super Bowl. Watson season 1, episode 2 will air on Sunday, Feb. 16. It will air at its usual time of 9 p.m. ET/PT. CBS is sandwiching the show between Tracker and The Equalizer to give it a good shot of success.

Before the series returns, there will be a rerun of the series premiere on Saturday, Feb. 15. This is great for those who missed the first episode or want to watch it again to see if there was something missed. Then on Sunday, Feb. 16, we’ll jump into the next hour of the series.

The series is continuing with unusual cases, and in this episode, we’ll meet a man with a bullet lodged in his head. Only, the man doesn’t believe it’s a bullet. He’s sure there’s a Scottish soldier in his head and that he has nefarious plans.

Watson will also call Ingrid out for lying, and now she needs to work out what her tell is. We saw her looking at a book about antisocial personality disorder in the series premiere, which is presumably about her since she did it in secret after her partner went to sleep.

Watson isn’t focused on her too much, though. He wants to find out who Mary, his ex-wife, is dating. We know she’s seeing another woman, and Watson is about to show why she didn’t want to tell him anything.

Watson airs on Sundays at 9/8c on CBS starting from Sunday, Feb. 16.
