It’s time to head to Amish country in Watson season 1, episode 4. Sasha is the one with the case.

Up to this point, we’ve seen patients walk in or Mary come to John with cases. Well, this time, it comes from one of the doctors. Sasha sees something in a patient that connects back to her time at med school, and now she wants to get to the bottom of the mystery.

I love that we’ll get to see a little more focus on the other doctors in this episode. Sasha coming forward with a case gives her more time to shine, and it allows us to get to know a little more about her. We’ll see what type of things stick with her in life, as recently, her storylines have been mostly relationship based.

A link to Sasha’s past in Watson season 1, episode 4

Titled “Patient Question Mark,” the episode will see a new patient come into the clinic for help. He has advanced cancers and distinctive lesions on his tongue. All of this could point to signs of Cowden syndrome, which is something that will definitely pique John’s interests.

Cowden syndrome is a rare genetic disorder, so it’s right up John’s alley. It causes noncancerous growths known as hamartomas all over the body. A person is more at risk of developing some types of cancers as well due to this condition.

Well, it turns out that Sasha remembers a cadaver from medical school that has some sort of connection to the current patient. It’s not clear whether it’s the cancer or the lesions. It looks like it could be the lesions based on the scans and conversations in the promo for the episode. Whatever it is, Sasha wants to get to the bottom of the mystery. We saw how excited she was when solving the mystery with the Scottish soldier in the second episode of the season, so it’s not surprising to see her push for this in this episode.

The investigation will take the team to Amish country. Now we know that everyone there will want to keep to themselves. Some of them may not even want any medical intervention depending on how strict they are about their faith. This is going to make the situation much harder for the whole team.
