Not only do we have a new Tuesday, but it’s the start of a new month. As we close in on the end of the regular 2024–2025 TV season, eyes are on what’s airing and what’s on a break. Take a look at everything on broadcast TV tonight, Tuesday, April 1.

There is a change to the schedule tonight. Last Tuesday saw the finales of a couple of shows on NBC. CBS was on break last week, but all three FBI shows are back this week. So, there’s still plenty to watch, and there are still many shows on the bubble.

4 shows to watch, and 3 to skip tonight, Tuesday, April 1

With so much still on right now, there are questions about what you should watch live and what you will need to watch via your DVR or streaming. There are certainly some shows more important to watch live than others, as they are still on the bubble.

Will Trent is a must-watch to start the night. The episode picks up off that devastating death in the previous episode, but Will doesn’t really have time to think about what it means for him. He has a tricky undercover assignment, and he will need to deal with some of his own trauma as he gets to the bottom of the case.

After that, you’ll want to turn your attention to FOX. Alert: Missing Persons Unit will air the second episode of season 3. This case is much more personal than all the others. Nikki goes missing, and it’s up to the entire team to find out who has a grudge against her. That’s much harder when there are multiple people who hold a grudge.

Since The Irrational has come to an end, the 10 p.m. ET/PT timeslot is filled with specials and a show that has already been canceled. You can use this hour more effectively to help keep shows on the air. Why not DVR The Cleaning Lady on FOX and watch that in this next hour? Thony is struggling with philosophical questions about life, and I think that’s where we’ll see her for much of this season as she deals with the trauma and loss of the first three seasons.

After that, make sure you DVR’d Night Court and watch that after. It’s one of the few Tuesday shows still on the bubble now, and it’s worth checking out as soon as you can. Julianne gets a little more backstory development in this episode, as it turns out that she is owned an inheritance from a wealthy family member, and it’s up to the team to get a piece of it.

What about the show to skip? With so much on, there are some that you need to wait to watch until the next day. You can skip all three FBI shows and wait for them to come to streaming the following day. FBI has already been renewed for season 8, while International and Most Wanted have both been canceled, so the same night viewing isn’t as important as it is for other shows.
