Sundays have changed a lot now that the award shows and football have stopped taking over. Here’s a look at everything you can watch tonight across the broadcast networks, Sunday, March 9.

The CW is the only one of the Big 5 networks not airing new shows tonight. It remains focused on movies, which suggests that it is working. Maybe there’s a chance that The CW will bring original programming back soon, or maybe the network will go back to the way it was a few years ago and not have Sunday night programming at all.

American Idol, Watson, and more

ABC’s schedule is now back to bringing new episodes of TV shows. It all starts with a new episode of American Idol. The judges, which includes Carrie Underwood this season, head to New York, Los Angeles, and Nashville to find the next big superstar. We’re just starting with the audition rounds, so it’s exciting to see what talent there is around the world.

After that, ABC will bring a new episodes of The $100,000 Pyramid. Since American Idol takes up two hours of Sundays, it makes sense to have a game show to end it all off. It sets a great tone for the night.

Over on CBS, there’s a night of drama. Watson will air a new episodes, sandwiched between Tracker and The Equalizer. The new episode will see John Watson take on a case that could see the end of his career. He needs to circumvent the law to treat a patient with sickle cell anemia.

FOX has a night of animated comedy, while NBC has a night of its new Sunday night lineup. Tom Hanks continues to narrate The Americas, and then we jump into a new episode of the Suits spin-off series. The third hour of the series will see Ted and Kevin shocked to learn all about Lester’s movie to kill his producing partner. He keeps saying he didn’t do it, but Kevin doesn’t believe him.

Meanwhile, Erica and Leah will continue to work together. As the two found out that they can be each other’s strengths to their weaknesses, they’re sure to work to find a way to balance things with their new celebrity client.
