We are into Thanksgiving week, and that means a lot of broadcast TV is on a break. Some networks have aired fall finales already, while others are just taking a night off knowing people will travel for the holiday.

The One Chicago shows will not air new episodes tonight, Wednesday, Nov. 27. Those three shows are now on a break until 2025. The good news is they’ll return in January, but NBC is now focused on its holiday content for the rest of the year. That all starts tonight with a couple of specials.

CBS and The CW are only the normal schedules

CBS and The CW are the only two networks with normal schedules tonight, Wednesday, Nov. 27. We will get a new episode of Survivor on CBS to kick-start the night. This is basically the semi-final tonight. After all, over the next two weeks, we’ll get the two-episode finale to wrap up this season of high stakes competition.

After that, there is a new episode of The Summit, which has been a fun ride to see how far people will go to win. In this hour, the teams will reach the final checkpoint.

As for The CW, we have a night of Sullivan’s Crossing and Inside the NFL. Maggie is about to learn more about Cai’s past in Sullivan’s Crossing as she takes care of Cai’s sister. Is this a past she can accept, or will she decide it’s time to walk away?

If you’re looking for something to watch with the family, it could be worth turning to NBC for the first hour of the night. It’s the countdown to the Macy’s Day Parade special, and we all know the kids love the floats! After that, there’s an SNL special for Thanksgiving. That’s always a good laugh, but not usually kid friendly.

And while Mary Poppins is kid friendly, the 20/20 special airing on ABC tonight is not. It’s time to look inside the untold story of the movie. Well, more like the impact that the character has had on culture and future movies. We take a look at why Mary Poppins became so iconic and why the movie is still a favorite despite being decades’ old.
