Who won The Masked Singer season 12? (Who was beneath the final masks?)

Since hearing Buffalo and The Wasp, we had a feeling we knew who would be beneath the masks. It wasn’t surprising to find out that we would need to wait until The Masked Singer season 12 finale to find out who were beneath all the masks.

The final saw the return of Rita Ora, who had to miss the semifinals due to an illness. She came back at the right time, as she share her own guesses with the other panelists to figure out who were beneath those final masks.

This season certainly brought some big an exciting names. There’s no doubt that some of them took us by surprise, but there are always a couple of masks we just know. The voices are those we’ve listened to for years. We just have to look at Neyo, Chris Daughtry, and Nick Carter for the reminder of how easy it is to guess some of the voices.

Who won The Masked Singer season 12?

The final saw us down to two. It was between Buffalo and The Wasp.

Yes, it was almost impossible to peg who would end up taking the trophy home. Both of these acts were impressive from start to finish of the season. We fell in love with their voices the minute they appeared on the stage, and I’m glad I wasn’t the one voting for who should go home.

In the end, it was Buffalo who took win, with The Wasp coming in a respectable second place.

Who was behind the masks in The Masked Singer season 12?

With the winner announced, it meant that we got to see who was behind the mask. Would our guesses be right?

The Wasp was revealed to be Mario. Jenny McCarthy-Wahlberg and Ken Jeong did have a good guess going with Jason Derulo. I certainly heard the voice now and then and some of the clues connected to him. Rita Ora and Robin Thicke got it right, though, by guessing the Grammy Award winning singer.

Next up was Buffalo, with all four panelists believing that it would be Boyz II Men under the three masks. I think that came up with the clues a few weeks ago for viewers. I know I was on the Boyz II Men train after almost right away once I properly listened to the voices.

Sure enough, the panelists' guesses were correct. It was Boyz II Men under the masks. It’s the first time a group has won The Masked Singer, and who can complain at the iconic group taking home the trophy? What's really crazy is that the group didn't want to do the show and hoped they would only do one episode, according to PEOPLE!

The Masked Singer season 13 will premiere in February 2025.
