Red Nose Day Brings Surprise Guests on May 25

Red Nose Day is a fundraising organization that asks everyone to put aside their differences and come together to raise some money for all sorts of charities to help fight poverty and injustice.

For the past two years, Red Nose Day has sparked some amazing A-list celebrities to come on board and tell stories of survivors, people living in a terrible injustice, or why people dealing with poverty has got to stop.

According to Comic Reliefs website, the company has raised over one billion pounds since beginning its fundraising efforts within its two campaigns, Red Nose Day, and Sports Relief.

To help garner even more attention, the organization was able to get a reunion of sorts of the cast of Love Actually. The 2003 movie was a huge box office success when it came out. Fans have fallen in love with the movie’s story telling and the realness that not everything works out as planned.

With that in mind, the producers of Red Nose Day have asked all of the actors from the film to participate in the live telethon on NBC. However, the films writer-director Richard Curtis said he has one more thing he wanted to do.

He has asked Hugh Grant, Keira Knightley, Colin Firth, Liam Neeson, Bill Nighy, Andrew Lincoln, Rowan Atkinson, Lucia Moniz,Thomas Brodie-Sangster, Olivia Olson and Marcus Brigstocke to come together for a 10-minute short film to show where the characters are now.

Curtis told the Hollywood Reporter that he hopes this reunion would help to make more people watch Red Nose Day.

Curtis also said he never had plans to do a reunion but thought it would be “fun” to do a short updating fans on the characters.

Red Nose Day will air on NBC May 25 at 10/9c on NBC and the reunion aptly titled Red Nose, Actually will air after the broadcast.
