The Hall of Doom

Eagle-eyed viewers may have noticed that Thawne’s new base of operations looked a little familiar. The Reverse-Flash’s HQ bored an unmistakable resemblance to the Hall of Doom from the Challenge of the Super Friends. In the beloved ‘70s cartoon, the Hall is where Legion of Doom plotted the destruction of the Super Friends. The Hall of Doom’s appearance in “Doomworld” is a fun call back to something that happened earlier in the season. When the Flash (Grant Gustin) brought together the heroes of the Arrowverse to battle the Dominators, they gathered in a building that is identical to the Super Friends version of the Hall of Justice.

Since its creation Super Friends, the Hall of Doom has been brought into the DC Comics Universe as a meeting place for the Injustice League. It’s also been shown a number of previous DC Comics TV shows. The Legion of Doom operated out of it in the Justice League Unlimited and Batman: The Brave and the Bold. It was also used by a group of evil paths in the Krypto the Superdog series. It’s also been referenced in episodes of South Park, Family Guy, and Robot Chicken.
