From the moment Owen and Cristina first started dating, there was always a little voice in the back of our heads which questioned whether the duo had what it took to make it in the long run. Unfortunately, that little voice would turn out to be right as the couple fell to pieces after their marriage – which went downhill quicker than we could have ever predicted.
Between Cristina having an abortion behind Owen’s back and Owen cheating on Cristina as a result of her betrayal, this couple put fans’ emotions through the ringer.
Among the couple’s many memorable moments was a heartbreaking elevator ride shared by the duo back in Season 8 in which Owen announced that he was moving out as the result of their continued inability to see eye-to-eye. Sure the writing may have always been on the wall, but watching Cristina hold back tears as the man she once loved walked out of the elevator (and her life) had us bawling like babies and wishing for happier times!
