Best Sterek moments: The Perfect Break-In
Setting the Stage: After Isaac revealed the location of where Boyd and Erica were being held by the alpha pack, Derek calls upon Stiles, Scott and Peter to help devise a plan to break in to rescue the duo.
With the blueprints to the old bank where they’re being held in hand, Stiles quickly walks through the best plan for breaking into the bank (a plan inspired by a heist pulled off back in the day by some bank robbers). As Stiles reveals, the key to the success of the plan is breaking through the cement which required a special drill. However, Derek has his own plan and implies that he’ll use his fist to break through the cement which prompts Stiles to question his strength – a move he quickly regrets.
Why this Sterek Moment is One for the Books: What is not to love about this beloved Sterek moment! Only Stiles would be crazy enough to question Derek’s strength and he should have known that Derek would happily prove his muscles were for more than show.
The comedic timing and follow-through by Dylan O’Brien put the moment over the top (“Ah, he can do it…”) and that little moment towards the end of the exchange where Stiles for a moment believes Derek’s wanted him to accompany him on the excursion over Scott, was the cherry on top!
