#1 She has a huge acting range

Whittaker is no stranger to different roles.

One of the biggest and best things about Doctor Who is that the show is not exactly predictable.

We can go from one-week were the plot of the show is lighthearted and funny to the opposite end of the spectrum the next by being a nail biting horror story.

The point being is that the acting range of the Doctor has to be huge. We have come to expect humour, wit, sarcasm, rage and darkness from our Doctor.

The point being is that whoever takes on the role has to be able to be able to handle these multiple personalities and roles with ease as though it was second nature.

Jodie Whittaker has shown she can do all this.

Her past roles in Broadchurch, St. Trinian’s, Venus, Attack the Block and more clearly showcase that she has that ability for Doctor Who. From the range of serious drama to comedy she has experience in it all.

Also, her use of accents is amazing. A natural Yorkshire lass it can be difficult to hide such an accent, trust me my wife is from Yorkshire, Whittaker has been able to do this and has even portrayed a range of different accents to great effect.

It will be interesting to see if she keeps her natural accent in Doctor Who like Capaldi and Ecclestone did when they were the Doctor.
