Home Entertainment PR“In Season Two, Lucifer Morningstar and LAPD Detective Chloe Decker are back solving murders on L.A.’s white-hot streets, with their relationship growing deeper, closer, and more awkward for them both. To add fuel to the fire, Lucifer’s mum, Charlotte, escapes Hell, bringing along a ton of emotional baggage: Now Lucifer and his angel brother, Amenadiel — with whom Lucifer has serious sibling issues — must work together to deal with mommy dearest,” Warner Bros. Home Entertainment teases of its latest release. “Meanwhile, Dr. Linda, therapist and confidante to Lucifer, Amenadiel and Maze, is having a devil of a time doling out some of the most bizarre advice ever. Final Thoughts – Why It’s Worth Buying!

Let’s start by looking at the set’s bonus features, as these are often the deciding choice for some fans.

If you’re looking for additional content, Lucifer: The Complete Second Season comes in right about on par with what the average season set release contains nowadays. You have a slew of deleted scenes from various episodes. Then we have the show’s most recent San Diego Comic-Con panel – a staple for most Warner Bros. releases – as well as the gag reel and deleted scenes. Finally, we have one special featurette which brings together the cast and crew to discuss the show and provide fans with new content in doing so.

To some, the features may be considered to be lacking as the show’s Season 2 set does not come complete with a handful of bonus features, but the ones that are included should be more than enough to tip the scale in the set’s favor when it comes to fans on the line weighing the pros and cons of the release.

Taking the bonus content off the table, you’re still left with an incredible release thanks to the show’s wonderful second season. As someone who watches and follows more shows than anyone in there right mind should follow, I know all too well how a series that breaks out in its first year can falter come Season 2 as the writers attempt to make too many changes or fail to live up to the hype from the show’s first season.

With more episodes added to the mix, I was more than a little concerned that Lucifer would become one of those shows that fizzles out in its second year and was pleasantly surprised to see that the writers were able to avoid any drop in the quality of the show. Season 2 delivered an equally interesting season and serves as the perfect binge watch for fans looking to relive the action from Season 2 or to those who missed their chance to watch as the season progressed.

Lucifer: The Complete Second Season is yet another must-have for fans and is a title I strongly adjust adding to your collection!
