Get ready for another exciting new season at the Gas Monkey Garage! Fast N’ Loud races back onto Discovery Channel’s schedule Mondays this fall with a must-see season which will usher in a new era in the Gas Monkey Garage – an era without long-time crew member Aaron Kaufman.
In wake of Aaron’s departure, Richard and the crew are on a mission to prove that the shop is just as strong as ever before which sets them on the search for vintage vehicles to buy and restore in order! Throughout the season, the Gas Monkey Garage team will work their magic on countless forgotten and derelict vehicles beginning in the premiere which finds Richard and Dennis on their way to Dripping Springs, Texas to check out a one-owner ’65 Shelby Mustang GT!
“A couple days ago, a 1965 Shelby GT350 popped up on one of the more popular websites and I’m looking at it going, ‘Well, that’s just impossible. This is a very, very special car,” Richard reveals in the opening moment from our exclusive clip from tonight’s Fast N’ Loud season premiere.

As Dennis reveals, only 562 ’65 Shelbys were ever produced making the cars extremely rare and highly sought after by car collectors – in fact one in good condition can fetch up to $500,000!
Once at the home housing the vehicle, Richard and Dennis are greeted by Karen and Matt Steitle, the sellers of the vehicle, who put the vehicle on display for Richard and Dennis to examine. As the duo look over the vehicle, Matt and Karen key the guys in on the vehicle’s history and everything seems to check out perfectly as it’s been kept in incredible condition over the years.
However, before any decision is made, the guys must check to make sure that the vehicle’s Ford and Shelby numbers match up as the matching numbers will be key in turning a profit on the Shelby.
