#30 “Hawaiian Roller Coaster Ride,” Lilo & Stitch

Sung By: Mark Keali’i Ho’omalu and Kamehameha Schools Children’s Choir

I Can See What’s Happening: Aware that he is surrounded by water and there is no escape, Stitch goes on a trip to the beach with Lilo, Nani, and David. There, he observes how everyone behaves with each other and learns patience, love, and develops a love for the beach and even gives surfing a try!

Favorite Line: “There’s no place I’d rather be, than on my surfboard out at sea.”

Why It’s Part of Our World: Lilo & Stitch‘s entire soundtrack is fun! But “Hawaiian Roller Coaster Ride,” in particular, reminds us of vacation and fun in the sun! You can’t listen to this song and not wish you were at the beach.

#29 “A Dream is a Wish Your Heart Makes,” Cinderella

Sung By: Ilene Woods

I Can See What’s Happening: After awakening from a wonderful dream, Cinderella charms her forest friends with a beautiful explanation of what dreams are.

Favorite Line: “No matter how your heart is grieving, If you keep on believing, The dream that you wish will come true.”

Why It’s Part of Our World: At the heart of every Disney film has always been the concept of dreaming and the power dreams and imagination hold. It’s for this reason that “A Dream is a Wish Your Heart Makes” stands as one of the most iconic Disney songs of all-time and one which always reminds us to keep on believing.
