HarmonQuest Season 2 Episode 7 preview: The City of Forlona

The fold-a-boat has successfully taken our heroes into the city of Forlona, where they’ll meet the king in HarmonQuest Season 2 Episode 7!
Jason Mantzoukas joins Spencer Crittenden and regular role players Dan Harmon, Erin McGathy and Jeff Davis to try his first table-top role-playing game ever! “It’s like hanging out, but with math,” Harmon tells him. Well, that should clear up all the rules, right? From the top of the episode, Mantzoukas is determined to win HarmonQuest whether there’s really a winner or not.

For someone who started off the show by saying he’d never played D&D before, Mantzoukas takes his storytelling cues and visual imagery very seriously as the charming orphan boy, Gribble Grabble. Fondue and Boneweevil are still annoyed with one another, and the competition between them over who has the strongest abandonment issues continues into the episode (thank goodness for Beor).
The citizens of Forlona have some very weird taste in art and celebrity culture, but things get a bit Game of Thrones-y midway through the story. Though I won’t give anything away about what happens, I will say that I’ve never seen Spencer Crittenden laugh so hard!
