HarmonQuest season 2, episode 6 preview: The Barely Cursed Bazaar of Commerce

Season 2, Episode 6 of HarmonQuest features Janet Varney as Sidona, a mysterious shopkeeper for “The Barely Cursed Bazaar of Commerce.”
On last week’s episode of HarmonQuest, our heroes were shocked to realize that they had played a hand in Celty’s ability to gain power, but in Episode 6, the team will work to make things right and try to stop Celty from gaining more power, all while trying to mend conflicts that affect their own friendships (and there’s some pretty freaking cool origami transportation involved).

HarmonQuest Season 2, Episode 6 Synopsis:
"After learning of Celty’s re-appearance, our heroes follow the clues towards the city of Forlona, but a newly formed river of lava prevents their passage, and on their way to discover the mystery of the Storm Obelisks, they enter a mystical mini-mart.Luckily, a mysterious merchant tent and its magical shopkeeper are here to help, but she seems to keep strange wares and stranger secrets."
Early on in the episode, the team is separated when Fondue (Dan Harmon) gets upset and follows his own path, but Beor (Erin McGathy) and Boneweevil (Jeff Davis) set their sights on Forlona, trekking past all the rifts in the ground that expose the Demon Realm. Fondue does reunite with the squad though before the trio arrives at an odd-looking shop that advertises itself as being “barely cursed”.

And this isn’t just any barely cursed shop, it’s a barely cursed grab-bag bazaar shop, where you never know what you’re buying. The owner of the shop is the unicorn cloak-wearing, stilt-walking Sidona, voiced by guest player Janet Varney, whose personality is much more complex than you may first realize.
Varney is confident in her D&D quick-thinking decision making and her ability to vocalize specifics within the animation adds humor to the episode.

Episode 6 of HarmonQuest also examines Beor’s role as part of the heroic team, working to bridge the friendship between Fondue and Boneweevil while still fighting for validation and respect from her peers as an effective barbarian (despite all of Fodue’s Orc-splaining).
