2018 Superhero movies: Here are all of the superhero films set to drop this year

2018 looks to be the year of the superhero with an impressive ten superhero movies scheduled to be released this year including new installments to the Avengers, X-Men and Deadpool franchises.

Just when it looks like the superhero movie genre might start slowing down, the new year arrives to remind moviegoers that franchises like The Avengers and X-Men aren’t going anywhere, anytime soon! This year, an impressive ten superhero films are set to drop including new films from Marvel, Fox, Disney and Sony which range from franchise continuations and launches to live action and animated offerings. Simply put the list of 2018 superhero movies set to premiere this year are sure to get fans talking and rank among the year’s biggest hits.

For Marvel, 2018 brings with it the arrival of the third Avengers film with the premiere of Avengers: Infinity War in May, the arrival of Black Panther‘s first feature film in February and the highly anticipated sequel to 2015’s Ant-Man with July’s Ant-Man and the Wasp.

2018 also welcome three new films hailing from the X-Men universe including The New Mutants, Deadpool 2 and X-Men: Dark Phoenix as well as a sequel 14 years in the making in the form of Disney’s Incredibles 2. Meanwhile in the Spider-Man universe, 2018 will see the introduction of Miles Morales’ Spider-Man via the animated Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse as well as the Tom Hardy-led Venom.
