Star Wars fans are everywhere from kids who are getting to see the saga for the first time to those who are kids at heart, watching Star Wars movies for the last 40 years. Celebrities are no strangers to their love for Star Wars either.

Christian Bale expressed his love for the franchise and recently spoke about how he wanted to appear in a Star Wars movie, in a recent the Happy Sad Confused podcast, according to Collider. Apparently, he was close to landing a role in Solo, which comes out in May. Without giving a reason, it didn’t work out.

But that doesn’t mean that Bale can’t end up in a galaxy far, far away sometime son. There are still a number of Star Wars movies coming up even after Solo. Episode IX arrives in 2019, and Rian Johnson recently announced a new trilogy is on the way.

So who could Bale play in a Star Wars movie? We take a look at some of the roles that he could play from big to small.

Stormtrooper – This is an easy role just as Daniel Craig did so in The Force Awakens. But being a Stormtrooper doesn’t get much screen time. Even Captain Phasma, who was supposed to be the baddest of the bad, didn’t get much love. Perhaps Bale would want something with a little more recognition.

Rebel pilot – IMO, there’s not cooler role in Star Wars than being a pilot (unless, of course, you’re a Jedi). While the life expectancy of pilots are not very high, it’s so prestigious. I would want to be rebel pilot in Star Wars.

Resistance leader – In The Last Jedi, the rebels sent out a distress signal to call out to others in the outer reaches of space. One of those captains could be Christian Bale, bringing his ship into the fight to help lead the rebels against The First Order.

Batman! – Just kidding.

Rey’s father – Picture it: Bale sitting in a corner of a trashy bar, playing a game of cards and taking people’s money. He’s doesn’t bring attention to himself, but you can’t help but notice him quietly in the corner. As Rey walks through the bar, can’t keep her eyes off of him. She notices his moves during the card game, how he ‘cheats’ his way through the game. She calls him out on it. Rey doesn’t know why she is drawn to this man, but we do. He’s her dad!
