In their first episode since 2017, Valentine’s Day comes early on Bob’s Burgers and it’s unlike anything the show has done for Valentine’s Day before.

Airing their first episode since 2017, Bob’s Burgers is back in a big way. Surprisingly, they’ve opted to air their Valentine’s Day episode a little early. Not long after celebrating Christmas, the Belchers are celebrating Valentine’s. Regardless, the episode was unlike the other Valentine’s Day episodes before it.

If you haven’t watched “V for Valentine-detta,” there will be spoilers from this week’s Bob’s Burgers.

The episode begins with Tina doing her trademark moan while Linda, Bob and Teddy discuss their Valentine’s Day plans. Back at home, Tina is still moaning and Louise finds out Tina is worried about Jimmy Jr not wanting her as a valentine.

More from Hidden Remote

The next day, Tina finds out Jimmy Jr asked someone else to be his valentine. Instead of Bob and Linda going out, Linda decides to take Tina and Louise out while Bob goes with Gene. In the limo, the girls head to get makeovers. After the makeovers, the limo driver tries to convince them to get revenge.

At first, they have fun with their driver, Nat including going to a restaurant for dessert. Nat tries to help again, but Tina finally admits why she’s so upset. Tina made a picture frame for him and he hung a picture of him and Becky in it so they decide to get revenge.

Nat comes up with a plan to throw a stink bomb at Jimmy Jr and ruin his date. They follow Becky and Jimmy on their date where Tina will sneak up on them. At the last-minute, she gives up, explains what she was going to do and why she’s so upset. Jimmy breaks up with Becky and they all stink bomb him to get revenge.

The episode ends with Tina and Becky becoming friends and all the girls sticking their heads out the limo sunroof.

As for Bob and Gene, the two head to a couple’s trapeze lesson. Bob and Gene train together, get dressed and eventually go on the trapeze together. The two successfully grab hands, but won’t let go in fear of falling. Instead of letting go at the same time, only Gene lets go and the two are stuck. At last, Bob lets go and the two go home to watch TV.

Of all the Valentine’s Day episodes, this one has to be my favorite. It’s not all about love, but more about family and friendship. The girls and the guys were both able to have fun and spend some time together. This also continues the show’s trend of having awesome holiday episodes.

Overall, “V for Valentine-detta” was a unique and fun Valentine’s Day-themed episode. It was different but still hilarious and heartfelt. As per usual, Loren Bouchard and crew created the perfect blend of funny and sweet moments

It’s unclear when the next episode will air, but this was a great one to keep fans waiting until the hiatus is over. According to Loren Bouchard’s Twitter, the Olympics is throwing them off for February. Here’s hoping the Belchers are back in March!
