Supernatural fans of the actor Tahmoh Penikett should get ready for his latest project Altered Carbon.

Tahmoh Penikett, or as you will most likely remember him, Gadreel/Ezekiel from season 9 of Supernatural is about to appear in an upcoming Netflix original Altered Carbon.

More from Hidden Remote

It’s been some time since we have seen the famous angel appear on our screens in Supernatural.  Initially masquerading as Ezekiel and inhabiting Sam’s body in order to help heal Sam, his character appeared well-intended and good.

That didn’t last very long, however, as we soon learned that he was really Gadreel, an angel who had been imprisoned for failing to stop Lucifer from corrupting Adam and Eve. Only freed due to the “falling”, he ended up working for Metatron after his true identity was discovered, as Metatron offered him his freedom rather than being imprisoned again in exchange for loyalty. This then resulted in him causing problems for Sam and Dean.

Eventually, he switched sides after seeing what he was doing was evil and in the end, helped Castiel stop Metraton, but in doing so, sacrificed himself.

Altered Carbon

You can once again see the actor back in action in the upcoming Netflix original Altered Carbon. He won’t be playing an angel this time around, however, as he plays the role of Dimitri Kadmin.

Altered Carbon is set for release on February 2, 2018 and is based on the novel of the same name. It is a futuristic sci-fi series totaling 10 episodes and tells the story of how technology has advanced to the point where your subconscious can be downloaded into another body, therefore meaning you cannot die.

Tahmoh Penikett is set to star in 2 of the 10 episodes, along with other actors such as Joel Kinnaman (Suicide Squad), Haley Law (Riverdale) and Hiro Kanagawa (iZombie). You can see the promotional trailers for the series below.
